Our system is not compatible with Skype or Microsoft Links.
What we need from you:
your dialling string or IP address
How to book a video-conference lesson:
Contact the instructor you’d like to have lessons with and book a lesson time. The instructor will book the room and video-conference technician. We will need to know your dialling string or IP address.
These are high quality video-conference sessions. This is not Skype. Anyone connecting to our system must have a H.323 compliant video-conference system. Don’t despair – there is one in almost every municipality in Alberta as part of an initiative by the government of Alberta. Below is a partial list of sites in Alberta. This list is not exhaustive. Many adult learning facilities, hospitals, schools and some businesses have systems in place.
The quality of your audio and video is largely dependant on the system and connection you have on your end. Our system is top-notch and is capable of speeds which are comparable to talking on the telephone.
We can control your machine from our machine so you don’t have to worry if you don’t know much about how to use it.
